    Chief Executive Officer

    • Founded Mashriq Energy in 2018 and led it to become a reputable EPC and later an IPP
    • Over 8 years of experience in the energy sector across EPC and project development
    • MS in Civil Engineering, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, USA
    • Advanced studies in Solar Energy Engineering at RENAC, Berlin
    • Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
    • Certified Expert in Climate and Renewable Energy Finance, FS Frankfurt

  • Sara Yaacoub

    VP of Finance

    • Over 10 years of experience in investment analysis, credit risk assessment and financial structuring
    • B.B.A. in Finance from AUB; CFA Level III candidate (CFA Institute, U.S.)
    • Advises on the financial structuring of utility-scale energy projects at Mashriq Energy
    • Previously led CrossBoundary Advisory’s growth across the Middle East

  • Angela Kheireddine

    Proposals Leader

    • Holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
    • Leads the preparation and submission of technical project proposals and documents
    • Ensures compliance with financial and regulatory requirements
    • Experienced in designing utility-scale solar PV plants

  • Mouin Abou Chakra

    Utility-Scale Project Manager

    A project manager with over 40 years of experience in MV and HV systems, substations and utility-scale project execution. Mouin has managed large-scale energy projects across Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Tanzania. His expertise in tendering, planning and on-site management ensures efficient delivery of complex infrastructure projects.

    Southern Africa Regional Director

    Based in Johannesburg

    • Leads Mashriq’s business development across Southern Africa
    • 10+ years in project development, stakeholder engagement and regional energy market navigation
    • Master’s in Electrical Engineering from Imperial College London
    • Deep knowledge of Southern Africa’s regulatory and commercial environments

  • Walid Moallem

    Senegal Country Director

    Based in Dakar

    • Oversees projects across Senegal and Guinea
    • 6+ years of experience in the solar energy sector
    • MS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
    • Strong background across both technical and business functions
